My Best Fashion Forward Moments

I never used to dress the way I do now. I was the colour coordinated old fashioned girl. But as I grew older, I became more experimental with how I wear my clothes, and yeah even mixing colours which I would never ever have done before. It took me a lot of courage to finally give in to the colour blocking trend. I thank my friend Phillip who never fails to amaze me with his fashion ideas. Because of him, I became more open to trying on different styles and yes, colours.

But if you were to ask me who my fashion icon is, I would say none. My fashion icon is anyone who's wearing clothes that I would die to wear (but can't because I have an odd body shape), and look great in them. I would rather wear shirt and jeans, but because of an insecurity, I can't wear just that. I have quite a few frustrations in wearing clothes and I will definitely write a separate entry on that. For now, here are my best fashion moments so far....

10.
For some reason this summer, i bought so many, oh well more than one blue coloured clothes.

I guess my biggest insecurity is the middle part of my body. I may look tiny, but no I'm not. And this is the reason why I don't wear body fits very often. God knows how long I have been working on my tums, hmmmm since birth? Taken during Bristol's Foodie Festival.

When this picture was taken, I received a phone call from my good friend to tell me that the shoes I was dying for was on sale. My purchase was beyond bargain for me. Taken at the Personal Shopping suite of Harvey Nichols Bristol.

7.
This was the day I had a complete fashion makeover courtesy of my friend Phillip. The first time I ever worn a belt over a top, etc. etc. Taken on a trip to Milan.

6.
See, another blue. Taken during a random walk around Bristol Harbour.
(Dress: Zara, Cardigan: Calvin Klein (really old), Shoes: Frech Connection, Bag: H&M)

5.
Okay, since I lost quite a few jewelries in my childhood (up to university days), I stopped wearing them, even accessories. However, I also want to look different, hence I wear some once in a while. Taken in Athens, Greece.
(Sunglasses: Asos, Necklace: Primark)

4.
So I realized that there is actually nothing wrong with putting a belt on top of a blouse. By this time, I am more confident with my fashion evolution and was ready to experiment some more. This was taken in Chinatown, on a London trip with Phillip.
(Top: See by Chloe, Belt: Dolce and Gabbana, Shorts: Zara, Wedge: Prada, Bag: Gucci)

3.
My first colour block outfit in 2011. As I said, I was never used to wearing bright colours, but I guess it has been worth it. Taken on a trip to Bath with Phillip.
(Top and Skirt: Zara, Wedge: a gift from a friend, Clutch: H&M)

2.
I am actually just getting used to the colour blocking trend. I must say, I love it! This picture was taken on the street during the graffiti art festival in Bristol.

1.
This is my all time best fashion moment. For once in my life, I felt and looked like a million dollar goddess, haha! And I would like to thank my very good friend Phillip for the styling and Maddie (of MAC Bristol) for the make-up. Taken at my bestfriend's wedding.

And this, my friends is my "i love myself so much" blog.
