Porto's Cheese Rolls

It's now seven months since I first had that amazing first bite and I still yet to find the cheese roll (in London) that will somehow satisfy my cravings for the most amazing cheese roll ever that is Porto's. I mean, it really doesn't have to be as good as Porto's. I just want to find a cheese roll that is not with onions, mushrooms or salmon or whatsoever.  I just want a plain cheese roll. Is that too much to ask?

The cheese rolls at Porto's are that good that I am willing to save money just to go back to California and have another bite. I am kidding of course, but this will now be another reason for me to go back and visit my family and friends perhaps at least once a year.

So why do I love thee? Well, the Porto's cheese rolls are perfectly made for those who are in for a sweet treat. I love the flaky pastry dough- so much. And the cheese? Oh.My.God. That is all I can say. Maybe this is a bit of an exaggeration, but what can I do? I just love them. And for just $0.70/piece, you are definitely in for a treat!

Apparently, the queue at all Porto's bakery is always long. Luckily when I visited the one in Downey it was almost empty.
