Finally, My ARANAZ bag!

Since I found out about ARANAZ bags in 2006, I have always dreamed of owning one of their bags. However, whenever I went home, I never got the chance to hang out in Manila and visit their stores. But last month when I was browsing through their pre-holiday collection on facebook, a particular bag caught my attention- big time, that I actually left a comment on their page. I don't normally do that, but because I fell in love with the bag at first sight, I had to find a way how to get it. Unfortunately, at the same time they had a Birthday Sale and the bag was sold out. =(

This is the Lucy bag that I was dying for. In the summer, I was into so much colour-blocking and since I have been mixing my blue clothes with other colours, I thought it would be nice to have a blue bag as well to match with my other bright coloured clothes. I tried really hard to find this colour in Bristol but I didn't have any luck. So my hopes were high when I saw this on ARANAZ's facebook page. Yun nga lang na-sold out na!

You have no idea how I put so much pressure on my cousins (Ate Ester and Kristale) and my friend Joy to find me that bag. Unfortunately, the bag was really sold out na when my cousins got to their Greenbelt Boutique. Pero heto na. Apparently when my cousins were leaving the shop, Mrs. Aranaz heard them talking about not getting the bag. So, Mrs. Aranaz asked them what bag were they looking for. And when they told her about the Lucy bag, she comfirmed that it was indeed sold out, but they had the same bag in black and brown (colour combination) in their showroom and if they wanted it, she could have it delivered to the shop the following Monday. When my cousin told me about it, I was like "Wow, Mrs. Aranaz?! Are you kidding me?". I was all of a sudden starstruck. So obviously, I said yes to the bag from the showroom even if it was not exactly the same bag that I wanted. Hello? It's not everyday that you get treated special, right? And I really just wanted to have an Aranaz bag. So here's my 'from the showroom' Aranaz bag...

I love Aranaz because it's Philippine made and they use indigenous materials, so Pinoy na Pinoy talaga. And their bags are so elegant.
