Winter in Venice

I have always wanted to see Venice in water. So when a "life changing" situation gave me the opportunity to travel to Venice in December, I didn't think twice. Although I have been to Venice before, this trip was of a different purpose as somehow I knew that this trip could possibly change my life forever- again.  I went there this time to find myself and create my own version of "Eat, Pray, Love" . Well, except for the love part or maybe even  the eat part. I will not elaborate on that for now, but I will surely share that experience on this blog in the next few days.

My trip to Venice this time was perfect timing, I guess. The weather, as it was December, coincided with the state of mind that I was in.

I arrived in Venice around midday but it already felt as if it was the end of the day. Ah, the gloomy weather....

I remained a tourist in Venice, but this time not the typical tourist. Venice was of course a familiar place, but the emotions were different. It probably was because I was there with a different purpose. It may sound so complicated for you now  and you may even think that I am not making any sense, but you will one day find out why. I am writing this blog with mixed emotions. But soon, it will all be clearer. For now, I just want to share the photos that I took. They are not the best, but they are of significance to where, who and what I am now.

And then Venice was in water...

This blog entry may be vague, but there is only one thing that I am sure of right now--- that I will never look at Venice the same way again. But then again, maybe one day in the future that perspective may change - when new memories are made. :)
